TreeTuesday : Vegas Palm

My first tree Tuesday! 🌲 🌳😁

I chose a palm tree 🌴

These tropical trees are found all over Las Vegas, because they can handle the heat! Rays for days baby! You can become mesmerized watching and listening to the palm leaves rustle with a warm breeze. Quite often these trees are found near the ocean, but here you can most certainly find one in most shopping centers, neighborhoods, and especially pools around here.

I think palm trees are especially cool, because as they grow taller their palm leaves create an armor for the tree even when trimmed away. Have you ever seen a palm that hasn’t been trimmed? It looks like they are wearing a fur coat!

These trees are pretty resilient, especially when you see them taking on harsh hurricane winds like a champ!
