These magnificent Live Oaks were planted in the early 1800's at Oak Alley Plantation. They had been on my list of things I wanted to see since I was a kid, and I finally got to see them a couple years ago. It was truly an experience of a lifetime for me! We never even went through to tour the house, just spent our entire visit taking pictures of trees.
The trees start at the house and go to the Mississippi River.
They are magnificent! The largest has a girth of 26.5 feet
