Christmas Full Moon 2015

While this year's full moon arrived almost on the winter solstice, three years ago today we had a Christmas full moon!

This wickedly wonderful occurrence happened about two months before I got my spiffy new Nikon with the awesome built in 60x optical zoom lens, but I think my old digital Olympus did a decent job of capturing the beauty of La Luna.

I specifically chose these two shots (of the bazillion I took) because of the trees in each, which means I can tag Hive account@old-guy-photos Tree Tuesday (and thanks again to Hive account@brittandjosie for reminding me that it's a thing...lol). A very merry and magical Christmas to all!
