Surfing here in the Philippines is in its age of the adolescent period. Recently booming and becoming popular to the general public, surfing has also been misinterpreted as a social status symbol for the wealthy and well-off individuals. Rapidly grabbing the mainstream media and the fields of money-raking capitalists of the marketing industry, hence, misunderstood by the general public on the real intentions of this soulful activity. What the people really don't see and understand is that surfing is more than what they percieve, not even a half of it. Surfing for most of us who genuinely has the love for it, surfs for the pure joy and soul we feel everytime we are in the water. From paddling out, catching waves and riding them---these are just fractions of the whole. For when we surf we feel our souls and our hearts work together because of the beauty and power Mother Nature flaunts. For the things that we experience and witness we are humbled and our souls full of love and compassion. A feeling that no amount of money can buy, no drug can satisfy. This is what surfing is for us and will always be. No more, no less. Because surfing is more than a church feeling of all religions combined![2018-02-05 07.05.59 1.jpg]
