Watts up?! Zwift!
So, if you use Zwift, skip and don´t waste your time. If not, read on!
I discovered it a few weeks ago and bought myself a Tacx Bushido two weeks ago just to Zwift it right away.
Zwift is a „home training game, connecting cyclist around the world“ (www.zwift.com), and yeah „SERIOUS TRAINING MADE FUN!“
I really like the graphics (10x better to stare at your white wall and more interactive then watching a movie), but what is amazing is the engine behind it. You see the watts, you see the heart rate, you see the rotation per minute and everything you need to know when training on your bike. You also have tons of trainingplans where you can push your power to the next level constantly. I just started the 6 week FTP booster last week and it feels super comfortable to have structred training plan (Designed by pros!).
You get some extra motivation with reaching new levels, new clothes, bikes and bike parts in game and of course the social factor is a big booster, too. They have races, you can sync your activities with Strava and all that stuff. And it shows how many slices of pizza you burn...BUT be prepared, you will sweat your ass off! On the other hand, you really feel that you are training: NO JUNK MILES! Even if you like to just ride around, your smart trainer reacts to hills, downhills and some even reflect the different substance of the road.
If you don't check it out now, you are lost. BTW, Lionell Sanders trained ONLY in Zwift for his Kona bike record in 2017...
