I have studied this Steem blockchain and ecosystem for over 2 years and have an understanding of how the different parts fit together.
The macro-economics of Steem is astonishingly stable and self-correcting.
The micro-economics needs some work as the same parameters of reward curve and curation split do not affect users in the way people seem to think. That needs some work - and some thinking.
I have spoken before to a previous Steemit Inc dev - was some time ago and about how to attenuate vote-rings. It didn't come to anything then, but feel free to get in touch on Discord (same username).
The other bullet points sound like what I had envisioned happening.
