Growing up, I never believed in the paranormal or any spirits that could protect or manipulate humanity. My parents were atheists, and although a lot of the people around me were religious I never personally 100% believed in demons and angels. I always tried to use common sense to explain for events that cannot be explained. That was all until a very unexplainable event took place in my own bedroom.
It was the night after Christmas day, I went to sleep like usual and locked my bedroom door. Mom warned me about the dangers of having intruders coming over at night, like burglars and thieves. So I always obeyed and locked the door, that was until that very night. My brother tried use the explanation that I forgot to close my door while I went to bed that night. However, I was firmly assured that I did close and lock the door. Like every night, closing our bedroom doors were part of our habits now.
I slept like a pig. Probably oblivious to whatever or whoever entered my room that night. It was around 3:45am in the morning, when I woke up in astonishment, I saw my bedroom door not only opened but wide opened. It was opened 180 degrees. I could see the dark corridors and my mother snoring from the room at the end. My first gut instinct was that it must've been a prank from my brother or a thief has intruding to our home.
So I cautiously got up and went to my brother's room, his room was right next to mine. I demanded for him to confess pranking on me, but to my horrific response he never did. He was, in fact asleep as soundly as I was and heard nothing at all. For once I believed him, knowing that he may be a liar but I could always tell when he was telling the truth. Then I asked my parents if they were checking on me that night, they told me they never did. Once again, I knew they were telling the truth.
I always knew when my family's lying to me, since I was a kid and my father pretended that there was no chocolate in the pantry. He wanted it for himself and did not want us to eat it up. However, I also knew when they were telling the truth and this time I knew they were telling the truth. I had no other choice but to check our CVP camera. When we were little, I used to always do sly and nasty things to my brother while he was asleep. Include stealing his PlayStation at night and hiding it. It caused a lot of broken family dynamic, so mom placed a camera in each of our bedrooms. Also, she did not want us to be doing inappropriate things, especially now that we were teenagers.
So I went to check our the camera, to my horrific shock it revealed footage that it opened by itself!! I'm not even implying to the time when wind opens your door. I'm talking about a real invisible person unlocking and opening the door. I wasn't able to see the spectre, but that was enough evidence to prove to me. Since then, I've always been very vigilant at night and disagreed on my parent's atheism.
