In a Friday appearance on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Geraldo Rivera appeared to side with President Donald Trump on an issue that has caused controversy since it began: that of the NFL protests.
The protests — done by NFL players who kneel during the national anthem to speak out against purported police brutality — was once again brought up by Trump on Friday in a Tweet.
“Can you believe that the disrespect for our Country, our Flag, our Anthem continues without penalty to the players. The Commissioner has lost control of the hemorrhaging league. Players are the boss!” Trump’s tweet read.
And Rivera seemed to share a similar opinion to the president when asked by “Fox & Friends” co-host Pete Hegseth for his opinion on what the NFL protest issue means to Trump.
“The president senses that he’s on the right side of history,” Rivera said. “And he’s with the majority of Americans.”
