I speak to this in a lot of my writing.
It's unfortunate.
There are few beautiful truths,
but an abundance of pretty lies.
Human nature is rather ugly,
despite the silver linings
and golden rays
from the darker parts
of our nature.
Spiritual wickedness in high places.
People will mock the Bible, but be shocked at #pizzagate or the voodoo that cost Hillary the election towards the end. They'll claim science is the final answer to everything, but become outraged if you tell them that today's science is Religion 2.0; never mind science contradicting itself constantly as every issue has numerous "peer reviewed articles" both for and against, and still, no one really knows what's going on.
Human nature... for that alone, I'm certain the majority won't see. We look at places like Cyprus, Greece, Venezuela, Italy soon, others soon, and we say "Oh no, that won't be Canada or the USA (word to Illinois)"...
There's a poem for that... something about, "At first they came for the Soandso..."
