Oh yes, I have always wanted to fly but in my army days, I was failed because they found that I am colorblind!
Today events took place where I discovered that colorblind people are only allowed to fly in the day.
So there you have it! I wasted a huge part of my life thinking that I could never fly.
We visited our local airfield today as I wanted to take some plane photos and a pilot instructor offered me a Pilot's training course. Now at the time that I was still working in the corporate world I could easily have afforded the training fees, but now I run a charity and I earn less that 10% compared to my earnings in the business field.
The cost of the course is R70,000 South African Rand and my monthly take home pay is R6,500 South African Rand. This translates into $5387 and my take home pay is $500
Seems like a huge divide doesn't it?
I will have to carefully consider this offer and hope for new miracles.
