One way to cut through the noise, is to dominate a category with a multiple part post!
Hi, you've arrived at tip #3 for today, see the intro here! Links to other tips at the bottom!###
NEW ACCOUNT GROWTH TIP # 3
Dominate Your Category With a Multiple Part Post!
This is a brand new trick, and I am the only one I've seen using it! So, pay attention. It will get copied fast!
This is something I've wanted to try for a while, just to see how it worked. Yesterday I was writing a tips piece for getting around low bandwidth, you can find it here.
And, I decided, now is the time. I can either post this encyclopedia of information, all in one shot, or I can spread it out and really catch people's attention. So, here is what I did!
###First of all, I would not recommend this for anything but tutorial style stuff, or listicles.###
I think if I tried this in fiction, I'd regret it. But, is a mostly fiction brand, so, I'm going to give it a shot one day within the next week. We'll see how it goes.
###Here are the rules I would suggest!###
- Write all pieces of your article and edit them off the platform. I highly recommend MarkdownPad2 that way you can copy/paste your article.
- Write your titles out to create links between your stories, before you start. It's easier than it looks. I'll explain that at the end of this tip!
- Link between each piece, at least to the next, previous and first piece! This will make it easy for people to navigate.
- Use a common title and add a descriptor at the end of each one to make them unique.
- I'm using the same preview image on all parts of the article.
- Once you're set up, make sure you have enough time to post them back to back! You're allowed to post 1x every 5 mins if you have enough bandwidth.
- Post them with the same main category. I used "tutorial" for my 7 part tips on minimizing bandwidth for new users articles.
- Add your footer links to your blog and any other work you want to promote.
- Post them in order, with links, every five minutes!
Okay, here's how I build my links!
This is what a "naked" Steemit title URL looks like. There are three parts.
- The html and web address: https://steemit.com/ this part NEVER changes
- The main category:/tutorial/ this part should stay the same in a multi-part article
- Your screen name: /@dolphinschool/ this is the sub domain for your blog. Sub your screen name here
- The actual article title:how-you-can-beat-the-bandwidth-limits-and-succeed-on-steemit-from-day-one-in-6-easy-steps-part3 this title is the same as your headline or title, with -s- between each word
You can create the title and then use a hyperlink to add those titles to a picture, or text element.
**Here, I've left off a bracket ) right behind the 3 on part3 with no space between the 3 and bracket, like this 3)****With the bracket in place, the link disappears and only your anchor text, shows up.

Here are the titles for this series, then I add the URL to create the links.
