Hi Steemians
One of the features that is now better off with the growth of over-the-counter is to use the anti-ransomware feature of the Windows 10 rendering protection tool, which I'm going to teach you in this tutorial.
Stages of work:
1- In the run, type the following statement
Windows Defender Security Center
2- In the window open, go to Setting to enter the next step.
3- In this window, click the Open Windows Defender Security Center button.
4- In the Windows Defender Security Center window, select the Virus & threat protection option on the left side.
5- After displaying the right contents, click Virus & threat protection settings (as shown above)
6- In the window that appears, look for the option Controlled folder access and enable it.
7- When enabled, click the option below to activate the Protected folders option.
8- At this point, with the add a protected folder button, add all the desired folders that you want to protect from the secured software.
9- Now let's go to the second option from the previous step, Allow an app through Controlled folder access, which was under Protected folders.
10- In this section, you need to create a white list of programs that have access, edit, create or remove access to the folders and files specified in the previous step.
Work is finished.
Now try and select a file in this category and make an editing with a program other than whitelist apps and save the request.
See the result.
I hope this training will be applicable to you.
