This is a special show. Also it is totally crazy, fun, unpleasant, whatever you can think of this show has it. It is brilliant. During this episode, I had to pick my jaw off the floor several times.
Yes, it deals with a lot of racist issues. I mean if there is a white person in an episode, they are probably or evil or crazy. I know that it bothers some people, but it doesn't bother me at all. Probably because she show is crazy as hell. This episode was no exception.
Hippolyta is still not back and all of the family are keeping a half on her daughter Diana. But Diana isn't doing so well in this new situation, plus her good friend got brutally murdered. On top of that, magical problems are now coming her way, and boy are they crazy as hell. Her family is in the same mess and they are stupid as hell not to realize what is going on. But we already realized that they are not particularly smart when it comes to understanding one another.
Leti and Atticus have some serious communication problems. They both want to help each other and save each other, but they have no idea how. They can't even properly express their feelings for one another. When dealing with such a hostile environment, plus crazy magical environment, you might want to work on your relationship.
The only relationship that seems to gain any progress is that of Atticus and his father, Montrose. They at last have some reasonable conversations. They don't get through all of their problems, but they are slowly getting there. Plus they have some seriously loaded conversations. They manage to remain father and son after everything and they have been through stuff.
The magical plot of the episode is what moves the plot forward. And it is crazy as hell. The way magic that is used, the reasons behind it, how it comes out in the end, it is all totally crazy as hell. Christina Braithwhite is one heck of a magical character. Plus, I still don't understand the logical behind the previous episode. Oh well. Also, I guess this episode had something to say about "Uncle Tom's Cabin", but I am not sure what it was trying. It's hard to think around the craziness.
It is still a great, confusing and enjoyable show. I have no idea how it will end, but I am sure it will be crazy.
