Ok so let me first start by saying I've been a longtime Twin peaks fan. My foray into the world of twin peaks began one Easter weekend when I was around the age of 10 I believe. My mother and older sister rented the series from our local video store and watched the entire series that Easter weekend. Unbeknownst to my mum, I hid behind the sofa and also watched the entire series ( yep I was a little rebel back then)
I was fascinated and thought I was pretty cool to have watched it. But as night fell that Easter evening my fascination turned to maybe a bit of fear.. I was alone in my room in the dark and all I could picture was that horrible "Bob". I literally had visions of Bob crawling up from under my bed or peeking around my bedroom door! This combined with the copious amounts of sugar I'd consumed that evening did not make for a good nights sleep.

Then there was Laura Palmer speaking in that weird voice, that also creeped me out more than I cared to admit. My night fear of Bob actually continued for a long time after that, until I found a different fictitious villain to creep into my night fears:)
Fast forward many years and I was excited to see the next series of twin peaks. I watched it a couple of nights ago, just the first episode in fact. And you know what? Even though I haven't seen the infamous Bob, I'm not going to lie, I felt the old creeps coming back again! Yes a twin peaks had successfully managed to rob me of a decent nights sleep again, as a grown up woman!! But hey, I love it, and I'm not going to give it up even if I do have to hide under the bed covers with my dog!
