When I say he got wrecked I don't mean that anyone hurt him. I don't think that is ever the answer in most situations but I think we all know someone that is like this guy....
He is someone that feels as though they are in a position to lecture the rest of the world about how they should live their lives. Someone who rains on everyone else's parade and picks and chooses which information he is going to allow into his own brain. The kind of person that completely ignores information about communities like the one that I live in that stopped complying with federal and state Covid mandates over a year ago, we have basically never worn masks, yet we have an infection and excess death rate that is almost exactly the same as places that had extreme lockdowns in both our state, the entire country, and even the world.
The kind of guy that just ruins anyone else's fun.
Kids aren't as forgiving as adults as far as all of this is concerned, especially if you fuck around with one of the most looked-forward to holiday on the calendar: Halloween.
Of course Carl couldn't just do this on his own, he needed to receive social media credit points for having done it. I feel the same way about people that do something nice for strangers but need to get some "likes" otherwise it isn't worth it to them. Well Carl could have simply turned his porch light off and not participated in Halloween, this is a universally understood way of opting out of the entire holiday but noooo, he had to get on his soapbox and preach to a bunch of little kids dressed as superheros and princesses.
While I normally don't celebrate vandalism I think in this situation that the punishment was equal to the crime that he committed. He could have simply stayed locked up in his house with a can of Lysol on his lap and not gone to the door or even put a sign out front stating that he is not participating in Halloween and I'm relatively certain that people would have just left him alone in his safety cave.
Lecturing others, especially children on one of their favorite days of the year is not going to help your cause Carl. I am happy that this happened to you and the fact that you don't know what "Let's Go Brandon" means, even back in late October, shows that you are truly living in an echo chamber and it might benefit you a bit to look outside of your circle of information every now and then.
