I rediscovered my twitter account yesterday and tried to make sense of my limited to 140 characters "micro blog." It was a quick read! My twitter is something I remember in fits and starts. I hardly use it. I don't even remember why I used it the times I did.
To revisit thoughts and read how past events unfolded and flourished was amusing. Tricky part was decoding a couple of cryptic tweets to figure who I was tweeting about. M? Who's M? Is it the same M that is now one of my best friends in the whole wide world???? I was able to solve a few mysteries.
I even answered a few tweets from Future JNET to past JNET.
Ahhh the things one does to entertain oneself...
I just wanted to follow corpse flower updates and figure when to return to the Huntington Garden. I found myself playing time traveler. Past JNET tweeted about random things like dreaming about silly putty. EXTREME silly putty. ???π΅ππ―??? Past JNET also tweeted about my beta fish dying and that I buried him among the roses. I had forgotten about that.
I have no idea where I paid $1.69 a gallon for gasoline.
On January 22nd, 2009, I tweeted that the world was remarkably happy together. Obama had just become president. When was the last time the world seemed collectively happy? It's been a while.
The world is a different place now.
Rediscovering Jnetsworld by Past JNET in twitter was finding a time capsule buried under forgotten ground. Maybe you will meet the same traveling magician when you reread your past. Do it.
What would you say to your past self?
