Comments made by Tempe Police Chief Sylvia Moir has caused some troubles within the community.
“I suspect preliminarily it appears that the Uber would likely not be at fault in this accident,” Moir told the Chronicle, adding, “I won’t rule out the potential to file charges against the [backup driver] in the Uber vehicle.”
Earlier today I posted a story about the self-driving uber that struck 49 year old Elaine Hertzberg.
We have seen many inventions come out in 2017 from self-driving cars, sex dolls with real human features and capabilities, and dozens of AI bots. Many are fascinating ideas, but I have always been somewhat skeptic to not having full control over anything.
So instead of blaming the company for its car malfunctions, charges are being put on the person who was inside the self-driving car. The individual who was supposed to be monitoring the car.
