JingleMiner BTC Solo Lottery Monitor
BITCOIN MINING NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD
I used to be a part of a Bitcoin mining community way back in the early days. I even think we mined a few coins which we then went ahead to lose since they were nearly worthless in those days. Who knows, there's probably a wallet out there on the blockchain worth tens of millions of pounds that belongs to us but we no longer have access to.
Crypto mining has changed massively since then. It was quite easy back then with limited equipment like a playstation or low-level laptop. Nowadays, you need a high end ASICs machine churning away in Siberia.
Ironically this tool is actually way more powerful than a playstation from those days, thanks to quantum leaps in chip technology but, compared to the high end stuff, they are pretty much worthless in the bigger picture. So why have them?
Well, first of all they look cool. That's probably good enough reason for me haha. They are very low power so they don't cost much to run. It requires less than 1 watt to run which is negligible. Some of them have actually solved a blog and earned an entire coin in the past. The odds are very small though, which is why it's effectively a "lottery", as the name suggests, where the input cost is tiny but the potential payout is relatively monumental.
I've been running this for a few days and, I'm not going to lie, I glance over every now and then fantasising about it having solved a block and earned me a bitcoin 😅
