Water is such an essential that it should not be about making profit for some multinational. Everyone says that private companies do things better than public services, but does that always have to be the case? Are these bosses that get paid millions really that good? I'd rather see my water rates invested in the infrastructure than enriching shareholders.
We've had a leaking water main near us for years and that must be wasting so much clean water. Of course it will cost a fortune to deal with even a fraction of the leaks, but it needs doing.
