The pipeline network for channeling water from the Umbulan Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) to the residents of Pasuruan City was immediately built. This urban pipeline will be connected to the main pipe of Umbulan SPAM.
"The pipeline installation in Pasuruan City will begin in September 2018 and is targeted to be completed in March 2019. We have conducted socialization, especially in 10 villages," said Head of Subscription Relations of Pasuruan City PDAM, Slamet Suhartono, Thursday (08/30/2018).
10 Villages crossed by this pipeline include Pohjentrek, Bonagung, Bukir, Sebani, Gentong, Gading, Trajeng, Karangnyar, Tambakan and Purworejo. This pipeline network is to distribute 110 liters / second quota from Umbulan SPAM to Pasuruan City residents.
"Later, it will be focused on the northern region, such as Tambakan, Trajeng and Gading," said Slamet.
The Umbulan SPAM project uses water from Umbulan sources in Umbulan Village, Winongan District, Pasuruan Regency. Through this project water will be channeled through the main pipeline network to 5 regions in East Java.
Umbulan SPAM water capacity is estimated to reach 4000 liters / second planned to be enjoyed by 1.3 million people or around 260 thousand heads of households.
Umbulan water will be distributed to PDAMs in each region. Among others, Pasuruan City (110 liters per second); Pasuruan Regency (410 liters per second); Surabaya City (1,000 liters per second); Sidoarjo (1,200 liters per second); Gresik (1,000 liters per second).
