Ambo Jemma (28), a young man who lived on Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, was finally arrested after becoming a fugitive for 8 months. Ambo who stabbed his friend Noviansyah is now huddled in the prison of the Samarinda Seberang police station.
"We are looking for perpetrators of this case of persecution since December 2017," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Samarinda Seberang Police, Iptu Dedi Setiawan, confirmed by reporters on Friday (8/31) night.
Ambo was arrested while hanging out at one of his friends' houses, in the area of KH Mas Penghulu Street, Wednesday (8/29) early morning, approximately at 00:30 WITA. The police, who have already pocketed their characteristics, have no difficulty recognizing them. "We arrested the perpetrator still in the Samarinda Seberang region," said Dedi.
The maltreatment took place on December 18, 2017, at the bus terminal on the Samarinda route to Banjarmasin, on Jalan Bung Tomo, Samarinda Seberang. At that time, the perpetrator and the stabbing victim, Noviansyah (22), was drinking alcohol.
Unknowingly, for no apparent reason, Ambo then challenged Noviansyah to fight. Noviansyah is still holding back, even though she must be attacked by Ambo's colleagues.
Later, Ambo took out the badik tucked at his waist, and thrust into Noviansyah's thigh. Noviansyah was finally rushed to the hospital, by residents around the scene. While Ambo, run away.
"Right, it happened at the bus terminal, on the night of December 18, around 10:30. The victim then reported being persecuted a day later, December 19, 2017," said Dedi.
Once he thought he was not wanted by the police, Ambo's escape ended. He is now huddled in the prison of the Samarinda Seberang police station to account for his actions.
