Blackgold Natural Resources CEO, Rickard Philip Cecil, finally gave a little explanation about the Riau-1 PLTU bribery case. During several checks, Rickard did prefer to be silent.
But this time he spoke. Unfortunately, what he conveyed did not directly refer to the case but instead acknowledged if he had lived in Indonesia for a long time.
"Let me be clear, I myself have been in Indonesia for 30 years, the skin may be white but blood is red and white. With that, I just want to say that the KPK is truly honest, brave and great," Rickard said at KPK, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. , Friday (7/9/2018).
"I actually support 1,000 percent for them," Rickard added.
For today, Rickard underwent an examination as a witness for the suspect Eni Maulani Saragih. Eni is the Deputy Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission VII who allegedly received bribes from Johannes B Kotjo as the shareholder of Blackgold Natural Resources. The company is one part of the Riau-1 PLTU project consortium.
Kotjo has also been appointed by the KPK as a suspect. In addition, there was Idrus Marham who was last snared by the KPK because he was suspected of receiving the same promise as Eni, which was worth USD 1.5 million from Kotjo, if his company succeeded in winning the PLTU Riau-1 project.
