The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) visits Banyuwangi Aviator Education and Training Center (BP2). This visit aims to see BP2 Banyuwangi Aviator's readiness changed to the Indonesian Aviation Academy (API).

"We want to see the preparations made by the Banyuwangi Aviation BP2 which will become the Indonesian Aviation Academy. Activities began with hospitality, coffee morning and discussion, followed by a briefing before trying out the simulator facilities and implementing Joy flight by using the Cessna 172 SP fleet in the space of Blambangan earth.
The event was closed with the ceremony of embedding wing BP3 Banyuwangi pilot honorary citizens led by the Head of Banyuwangi BP3, Capt Afen Sena, in front of the academic community.
One of the participants from the leadership of the Ministry of Transportation, Capt Heru Susanto, Director of the Surabaya Poltekpel, stated that the facilities owned by BP2 Banyuwangi Aviator were very complete and modern. BP3 Banyuwangi is a public pilot school under the auspices of the Ministry of Transportation, which since September 7, 2018 has been approved by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to become an Indonesian Aviation Academy with 2 concentrations of study programs namely Fixed Wing Aviators and Aircraft Operations.
