A car driven by Trenggalek residents crashed into a tree on the main road of Tulungagung. As a result, a passenger was immediately killed at the scene.
Head of Tulungagung Police Headquarters, AKP Wisnu Setiyawan Kuncoro, said the deadly accident occurred on Jalan Raya Kauman, District Kauman Tulungagung, Saturday (6/10/2018) early morning.
While the vehicle that had an accident was Kijang Innova AG AG 629 YH driven by Kamto Sutjiawan (69) a resident of Sumbergedong Village, District / District of Trenggalek, together with Poul Hasan Suciawan (27).
"Early morning events, while victims were immediately evacuated to the nearest hospital," said Wisnu.
According to him, the single accident began when the vehicle drove from north to south at high speed. But when he arrived at the scene, the driver could not control the vehicle's speed, as a result the vehicle tilted to the left, until it hit a large tree.
As a result of the incident, Poul Hasan's passenger was seriously injured and died at the scene. While the car driver suffered minor injuries. Both were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for medical help.
Not yet known with certainty the cause of the accident. But from the initial suspicion the driver was in a drowsy condition, so he could not concentrate in controlling the vehicle's rate.
