Good afternoon.
Yesterday and today were busy days for me. I needed to go to town to run some errands.
(Paid some bills, went to the bank, did some groceries, visited mom and took care of some responsibilities.) I had to go to another town to do all these. I don't own a car nor any private vehicles so I had to commute. In my town, we have Jeepneys and trikes. These are our main public transportations here in the lowlands. Up in the mountains and some urban areas, they have taxis as well. Jeepneys are like tiny buses. Uhm kinda. So yeah, I took the jeepney to go to San Fernando (next town from San Juan). Oh, yes! With my little stinker with me. How fun lol. Commuting is the least expensive way to go to your preferred destination. It is irrefutable sometimes, however, that you need to endure some inconveniences while on the road ( rude drivers, mean passengers, unbearable traffic in the sun etc.)
For those who are not familiar with what jeepney is, it is the most famous public transportation here in the Philippines. We call it "Jeep" for short. It is painted with such colorful designs combined with pimp accessories. It is stretched long enough to accommodate public passengers (around 10-20). Cool, isn't it? For a more comfortable ride, a jeepney has open ventilation through windows and has an open back door too.
At present times, jeepneys are not only paraded on the road and in the boulevards of the country. They are also being displayed in museums and can also be found in souvenir shops and malls/stores.
Well, that's all for today. I have to go prepare dinner now. I hope you're all having a good one. One love.bloghound
