I have been very busy between opening my salon and preparing for my sister's birthday.
Yes, she's my sister but she's also my first born. I named her before she was born. She is my best gift from God. Having to wait fours years to have a sibling wasn't easy for me.
It's a milestone age so I wanted to make it fun. I decided to bake her a two-tiered cake.
I don't have mixer in my present location so I had to mix by hand. This takes time because your butter-sugar mixture has to be fluffy.
This is what it looks like after creaming, it becomes off white as against the standard yellow butter colour.
I whisked my eggs in a separate bowl, ready for addition to my butter-sugar mix.
My flour, sieve and eggs buttery sugar mix.
I added some flavours and nutmeg;
Goodness! I'm smelling it all over, so heavenly.
After baking... They almost got burnt because I was busy outside being a photographer.
