Relentless
After receiving the map from the Fairy Queen, she had navigated her way against all manner of peril to the lost soul who hoped with expectation for his long-awaited rescue. First, she found strength as she scaled the Boulders of Kaine - no heights could stop her. Next, she found endurance, swimming beyond the Whirlpool Rapids - no depths could best her. Then, she found courage, traversing the gorge over Thread Bridge - no breadth would prevent her.
At long last, she saw him, behind a simple gate. She maneuvered the lock, pushed against the chain, shook the rusted metal, and kicked the frame. After all that had stood in her path, was a mere gate the thing that would force her to surrender?
"Love, lift your head. Look at me. Tell me how to come to you."
Her love lifted his gaze and whispered, "The gate."
"Not height, nor depths, nor breadth has succeeded in reversing love's pursuit. This gate will not stop me."
"Sometimes the smaller obstacles require more finesse."
"Shall i climb it, walk around it or go through it?"
"Climbawalkround it."
And so, in climbawalkrounding the gate, she dismissed the fangless bite of adversity, when matched against the relentless devotion of love.
