It's was 11:26pm yesterday night , still awake but feeling worked out from doing my usuals and my newly found love, "steemit", in between I was reminiscing on the how I spent the day and what I have left to do. I was about to close my business hub, after a long stressful day, when some noises erupted from a close by business hub, what could be the issue I asked myself, the noise grew louder and louder, what could be the issue, I asked myself again...
Not again, really, not again !!!
My business hub is situated in a University environment, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. All students live outside campus because the Univerisity is a non-residential, therefore this provides an enabling environment for business to thrive in the environs close to the campus. The reason why I stay longer is because of the kin competition and demand of customers for supply at night.
The owner of this business hub is a younger friend ,we all call him DY, and we both get along so well, I know him to be a cool guy so I was taken aback when I heard violent noises boomeranging from his corner, not to long I was able to listen to the ranting voice as he stepped monstrously in and out of the shop, I could see anger oozing all over him and he kept daringly insulting the DY, still I couldn't figure out why DY was under attack by this beast finding a soul to devour.
I moved a little bit closer as I needed to keep an eye on my goods and then I got to know the guys hurling insult at him are CULTIST. How did I come to that conclusion? I deducted they must be cult guys because of the threatening words they issued out and slangs common to their sects , he also mentioned names of some notorious cult guys to authenticate his affiliation to the cancerous cells eating up our values in Nigeria Institution.
Say No to Cultism!!!
Cultism (Brotherhood) has been part of Africa from the days of Colonial Masters but with a different motive in mind, to liberate the suffering black men from the anguish that was bestowed on them in their homeland and when taken ashore for slavery. Brotherhood was
conceived among black slaves to lookout for each other, to grow the African intuition and to annihilate the fear they live by everyday.
Cultism was introduced to Nigeria Woke Soyinka and a group of six freinds formed the pyrate confraternity at the University College, Ibadan. According to the founder of the group, the group was formed to advocate against the discrimination and oppression of poor and disadvantaged members of the society. source credit
Over the years, cultism has taken a new shape in Nigeria University and all form of atrocity can be linked to them, this can be attributed to the high level of moral decadency that is sweeping through the street of Africa, to pilot my essence of this write up, I might have to bring to your awareness that not just student but also big figures holding political office, public office, private and public organisation, self-employed and illiterates have been linked to this secret cults...
My heart still ponder over this heavily, is the society to blame or is the failure as a result of bad parenting?
*Post your comments and resteem, let us fight moral decadency in Nigeria
