Two shop houses on Bulukunyi street, District of Makassar, burned down early this morning. Mother and her two children were killed in the incident.
The biggest blaze of fire was seen in Abdul Rahim's house, (40). Rosmiati, (40) the wife of Abdul Rahim and her two daughters, Ratih, (19), Rafika, (12) were killed by a fire. While Aisha's house, her sister just next to him was only burned in the terrace.
Abdul Rahim himself and his youngest son Raka (2) were able to survive because they jumped from the second floor. First, Raka's body was forced to be thrown down and then arrested by residents. Followed by Abdul Rahim. Both are now in Bhayangkara Hospital.
Met at the scene, Aisyah recounted the tense incident. When the fire broke out, he and Sawal, her husband and two children and an employee were still sleeping soundly on the second floor of the house. Downstairs is used as a place to sell credit. Suddenly there was someone who broke the glass by throwing it.
"There were residents who threw glass at the windows of the house, it was a sign given by the residents so we could wake up and realized there was a fire. My husband immediately went downstairs to get the motorbike out and the others who could be saved. because the fire has grown. The husband wants to go in and save me and the children but can't enter because the fire is growing like a fire in my brother's house next door, "said Aisyah.
Because smoke in the house continues to rise, Aisyah said, she carried her young child, aged 2 years and 5 years, up to the 3rd floor which was not yet so full of smoke.
Waiting for a while, Aisha and her two children can be saved after the fire is over.

"Abdul Rahim jumped from the second floor because the fire was very large. Previously he disposed of his youngest son, Raka and was arrested by the people below. Raka was not injured but his father broke his leg," Aisyah said.
Makassar Police Chief, Kompol Usman, said there had been no conclusions about the cause of the fire which killed his mother and two children. But a temporary guess is due to short circuit or shorting.
