It was my husband's birthday yesterday so I cooked beef kaldereta which I wanted to get perfect because it is his most favorite dish and baked macaroni (my first time). Right after our work shift ended, we went to church first to light a candle and give thanks to our Lord Almighty for all the blessings even the struggles for this past year. While praying, our little boy seemed to enjoy running around the church so I told my husband to pray first while I take care of our son.
After lighting candles and offer our prayers, we went to the grocery to buy the ingredients for my menu and headed home.
I am already used to cooking 2-4 dishes whenever we got a celebration and yes, without someone helping me so kaldereta and baked macaroni are just easy-peasy for me. While cooking, my husband's longtime friend here and his closest one came with his 6-year old son with a sea bream fish for grilling so I prepared it too.
Less than 2 hours later, all the foods are already prepared and they say that my baked macaroni is a hit. Hmm, not bad for my first try. I admit I am not satisfied with the white sauce. I will try to cook this again next month to perfect it.
The day ended with a kiss and thank you from my loving husband.
Happy birthday my love.
