Hello there!
Good morning 🌞
My name is Abasiama. I want to write about PLAGIARISM and the lessons I've learnt as a person.
Before now, I have used two current account in Steem. And I've enjoyed myself in this platform.
When I joined steemit newly I wasn't told not to copy other people's work and post. But later on few Steemians told me not to do so but I bluntly refused.
I'm writing this to let you know the consequences I faced and the lessons I've learnt as well.
What is plagiarism?
It is the act of using another person's words or ideas without giving credit to that person.
I never knew about this till cheater entered my account and my account was among those who plagiarize here on Steem.
Believe me it was a bitter experience for me. He warned me not to but I still refused. What I did was wrong right? I guessed I should be disciplined for that.
I'm a student studying English Language and we're taught about all of these. Not that I can't write or wouldn't write things by myself, I just feel reluctant to do so and at the same time I feel I lack the right words to use.
In all of these I have seen and discovered some of the effects of plagirizing which are;
Plagiarism can get you expelled from your course, college or university.
Plagiarism makes your work to be destroyed.
Plagiarism results in expulsion from you academic institution, in some cases permanent expulsion.
Plagiarism results in legal action; fines and penalties etc.
Now let's see what could be the cause of PLAGIARISM.
- The fear of failing or failure.
- Having poor time-management skills. ( Just like me).
- Lack of self esteem.
- Lack of confidence in oneself.
In all of these, have come to a conclusion that PLAGIARISM is not good.
Indeed I've learnt my lessons.
I thank our brother and our sc-n director
for the words of encouragement and support.
Thank you for not giving up on me.🤗🤗
Stay blessed.
Do have a fabulous day.😍😍😍
