Hello Steemians,
Tribes, Tongues, Races, Opinions & Beliefs Will Always Exist! Have you ever wondered why I'm called Nairadaddy? Well, it's partly because I represent a country with over 250 ethnic groups. This amounts to confusion of tongues and languages. There's a very high chance that your bordering neighbour may not even understand your language.
I'm Igbo! Even in Igboland, there are more tongues than I can count. Unless we communicate in a central language we cannot make sense to one another.
One of the things holding Nigeria together is the central government. Even though there has been talks alluding to a forced marriage between the North and the South, there will always be one nation as long as there is a central government. We can only but resolve differences.
The point is that there will always be tribalism. An Hausa man will vote his tribesman. The Efik man will vote his tribesman during elections.
In the blockchain, that tribalism goes a notch further. We all support each other's projects as friends. Some people refer to that as circle jerking but in reality what is happening is agreement.
I don't need to agree with someone to Upvote his/her post. On the other hand, there are people who will not just disagree but also go ahead to flag you just to show you their utmost disagreement.
Sometimes when you consider the reason for the disagreement, you may also disagree with the disagreement because it appears flimsy. But everyone has an opinion as long as humanity has existed.
It's even more so right now with the Advent of the social media when people can express themselves in real time. No matter who you are everyone cannot agree with you 100% of the time. That only makes you a dictator.
The other day, the trends on Twitter showed that many people disagreed with Kanye's tweets about slavery. It was his personal opinion but because he had said it with his own reasoning, everyone misunderstood him.
There will always be tribes and tongues and opinions. People who are brave enough to say their minds are crucified initially but revered later.
Truth is bitter! Lies are sweet. People preferred to be lied to. Infact it has been said that you will die a virgin if all you ever told women was the truth.😂😂
So back to why I'm called Nairadaddy! I bear the weight of a currency that unites a broken country. I am the father of so many young talented and hardworking people on this blockchain.
You can't break Nigeria until you do away with the Naira. I carry a dream. I bear a vision of things unseen. I wear a garment of grace that is enough to carry all along.
The world must notice Nigerians! Not because we all have the same opinions or looks...But because we bear the same weight of pain and agony. We know where we are coming from...But sadly not many know where they are going to.
The goal is to find our individual ways together. Seek your destination with my help while I seek mine with your help! There are going to be hurdles and stumbling blocks but we skip them whether they are animate or inanimate.
I'm NairaDaddy! Feel free to also call me SteemDaddy!
