What other ways could the Universe got your back?
I don't know about you, but where i am from, the region which i find myself; i have seen steem pulled out dozens of people out of the quagmire of extreme poverty. Right in my country and in my city is where the disruptive power and ability of the Blockchain Technology is felt immensly, of which i am a living witness!
HUMBLED AND BLESSED BY STEEM
Life seems to be very hard if you are not a born fighter, it gets easier when you have fought several times, days of eating craps to survive, days of dropping out of college to source for funds, days when you loose that someone so dare to you and you become lonely in the World. Steem helped get through some of these travils, Bitcoin didn't!
There was a time, few years back that i had to quit my job as a Remote Support Specialist, A Trainer and a Logistic personnel; A Three-In-One Job i never applied for but ended up doing, funny thing is that i applied as a Business Development Expert with this IT firm who specialised in Database Management Services for Federal Government High Schools across the Country. I studied Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and i have worked in diverse industries while growing up to support myself and my sweet mom(of Blessed Memory), so this gave me an edge in most of my Job applications, even though if the pay are not so superb.
Where i live, the country is messed up and in an employement chaos, maybe other countries have that in common but i strongly believe it is not as bad as here. Employers takes advantage of this situation and give multiple-roles to you once you pass a job interview and pay you for just one of the job discriptions while the rest is tagged "Multitasking"
In the name of Multitasking, i adjusted to the Many-Job-In-One i had gotten in late 2014 and this job took me over dozens of perilous journies through out the states of my country without even a life insurance. So on a particular trip in 2016, after i and my partner had escaped an ethnic blood bath up North in Nigeria, which claimed hundreds of life in Plateau State, i got back to the city safely and had to rethink "Why waste my life for a job that never cares about my life? At least if my pay package was making up for all those thousands of hours, weeks on the roads into the nooks and crannies of the Country, i would have managed a bit longer. Even to get my "Widow's Mite" travel allowances was a war!
So, by late 2016; i had to quit that job for my safety and then i started a similar Services rendered by the firm, but to private schools. My big Brother 
Startup companies rarely thrive and survive in my country, i am a living witness; except you have someone willing to invest millions into your business and who won't give up on you.
A TREASURE FOUND IN STEEM
Fast forward to March 2017, i found Steemit through 
Viola!
By April ending, i was getting familiar with steemit and i blogged twice per day for almost the rest of 2017. I would have been more ferocious in my Blockchain Blogging scheme, but i was also the Author for 
Literally, i could make my full month salary in two weeks back in 2017, and when Steem was in the Bull, i could make my whole monthly salary in few days. Comparing my salary while i was still working to when i was self employed and became a Blockchain Blogger is like "taking a Knife to a Gun fight"
Sadly, i tried bringing some of my friends in, some didn't last a month because they believed in a "Fire Bridgade Approach to life". None of them could excercise the type of patients i had, many of them could not hold on for months to make some earnings, extreme patient made me stayed from March till June 2017 to have my first tangible payouts, that was after building my SP to some extent. With all the Hype around Bitcoin the Apex Altcoin and some other promising ones, Steem seems to have solve majority of my financial woes and many others like me around the World, and this is because of the Amazing humans i have met on Steemit!
