I am a year older today, i made plans to celebrate already.
i just counted another number to add to the former.
When i was 13, i'll always think i may never grow older.
I prayed everyday to grow older, every one at that time did.
suddenly, as if i had my prayers answered, i began to add more years.
it soon appeared to be adding more than i had prayed for.
now i wish i had stayed younger, but those wishes are just wishes.
When this years get added, i begin to count my achievements.
I count every good works i have done, even those that received compliments
You may wonder why i began to rhyme from the 8th line.
it's just one of those things that happens sometime.
I am a year older, for me it isn't just a happy birthday.
It's more, more time to be thankful for living this day.
You know the funny thing? I really i'm thankful for this life
But just as much as it has been given, i should be given a wife.
When a day like this one comes, i think of the things i should have done
When I alone in bed thinking how to pass this day, i say to death "i have won!"
Yet i get this assurance and somehow plan on how i can celebrate the next
I wait till this day, withness deaths and new life, even watch the birds build thier nest.
Therre is a lot to marking a birthday, there is a difference
There is DATE, there is DAY, i celebrate the date on this day.
9months have yielded many years, i pray and know it will yield more.
You may have noticed that i didn't make a rhyme to the previous line.
Just so you know that in life, not everything goes in sync with time.
It's a good birthday for me, i have recieved many wishes and prayers
It's time to sleep and wake to see another good like this one.
