It's the season now of sweet red peppers. The local market is very colorful. Red is the color of the day. Does it look like Christmas? Wherever I turn, there were red peppers everywhere. Yesterday, Mamo bought 2 kilos of peppers. We have also peppers in the garden, but not as big as these. Grilled peppers- one of the traditional Bulgarian dishes. Grilling them on top of the oven is the fastest way. We usually bbq outside but because it was kinda chilly yesterday, Mamo decided to do it inside.


When I first tasted this, I liked it right away. First, you grill the peppers. Then peel them. Soak it in balsamic vinegar. Chop plenty of garlic and parsley. Lastly, add olive oil. The taste of sweet and sour, the spiciness because of the garlic and the freshness of the parsley will make your saliva drool.

This morning, we went to the market and bought some fruits and red peppers too. Almost everyone is buying sacks of peppers. They would pickle them, store in the jars and keep it for the winter time. My mom in law is also starting to harvest her little green and red peppers from her garden. She already made a lot of tomato sauce in jars. Do you like peppers?
