The former electronic goods courier was arrested by Genuk Semarang Police officers. The perpetrators have escaped 5 large televisions and then fled to Bontang, East Kalimantan.
The perpetrator named Billyan Rio Pujangga (26) said he was sick to his boss so he could run away.
The action was carried out a month ago while working at PT Nusa Indah Transport Abadi, Genuk. At that time he was in charge of delivering dozens of television units to Jakarta.
Instead of being driven to the destination, Rio deflected the box car to the Sampangan area of Semarang. There he dropped 5 large screen televisions.
The owner of the goods, Atmaja who came to the Genuk police station said the perpetrator returned to the office and said he was sick so he could not deliver the goods. Atmaja provided an opportunity, but the next day the perpetrator could not be contacted.
"He returned with his box car, he said stomach ache could not pass between items. The next day I contacted him could not. I checked in the car the items decreased by five," Atmaja said, Tuesday (10/10/2018).
He immediately reported to the Genuk police station and carried out an investigation. Rio's friends were arrested first because he acted as a guard. They are Moch Safi'i Ardiansyah (34), and Alde Rahmat (42).
"They were founders, initially claiming they did not know that the goods were illegal. But finally admitted where they came from," said Genun police chief, Commissioner Zaenul Arifin.
The main actors' pursuit was carried out. It is known that Rio fled to Bontang so that coordination between the police was carried out so that Rio finally succeeded in being arrested.
"We are working on the pursuit to Bontang, finally we can arrest him," Zaenul said.
Rio and his friends must now account for his actions. They were charged under Article 374 of the Criminal Code regarding the wiping with a 7-year prison sentence.
