I realized something about myself. When I want to shift focus from something to another thing, I have to shut myself out and microscopically view the thing that I want to do at the moment. The reason why I'm telling this to you guys is because I promised myself that I have to produce content here on my blog everyday. But because of other engagements that I have to attend to, I had to let go of it for a bit.
This is just my long way of saying that I'm back. Haha.
Anywho, let's pick up where we left off, shall we?
In my last ulog, I talked about the beginnings of the Steem Summit. Right now, I want to talk about the challenges that we had to go through before we came to the final day. I will be doing so in bullet points so you won't get bored. Haha.
It wasn't always Steem Summit
The first setback that we had to deal with was the name of the event. The first name that we pitched to the core leaders was SteemitCon. When we approached
This also has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
Some names that came up were: Steem Movement, Steem Sphere, Steem Som (som is the French word for top), Steem Surge, Steem State, Steem Show and Steem Gala.
Good thing that pitched in Steem Summit. I personally think that it has a nice ring to it. We wanted to name it Steemit Summit, but we didn't want to have copyright issues, so Steem Summit it was.
We almost had Sarossa as the venue
But it wasn't aligned to the feels of the event that we were going for. The Steem Summit was supposed to be fun and it was supposed to be a celebration. It was a good thing that
Apart from the feels, Sarossa was also pretty expensive. It was waaaay beyond our budget. Here are some of the pictures that we took while surveying the place:

Only 5 people came to the Final Preparations Meeting
Having 4 people on the organizing team was one thing, but having just 5 people to participate in the task delegation and photoshoot meeting was a whole other thing. Kim had trouble at work to attend to, so

Three of the organizers were almost burnt-out
We had to make do with what we had. Among the three of us -
Being the emcee wasn't my job
I will spare you the details of why this was so, but for now, allow me to share this picture taken by

I am now starting to adapt the perspective of seeing challenges as game levels that I have to get through in order to level up. By doing so, I have a more welcoming attitude toward them. Additionally, the chances of me getting fazed by them is put to a minimum. I can then direct my energy to moving forward to reach the goal.
This is, in a way, saying that the Steem Summit allowed for me to grow. I wouldn't be able to get to this point without and
. Thank you. I'll be doing a lot of thanking in my next post, too. See ya then!
