Hive account@snook, who is one of our Welcome Wagon sponsors, told us about this tag, and started ulogging her days. I watched on the sidelines, trying to figure out exactly what it was. Was it just as simple as it seemed? Did you need to apply to be a part of the group of #uloggers? Was it only meant for certain communities?

I decided to give it a try, and after submitting the second #ulog - I saw the full picture of #ulog in all its beauty.(Since then, I've done my 3rd, 4th, and today will be my 5th Ulog!) The concept was built on the need to negate plagiarism. In the Steemiverse, the temptation to steal work and present it as your own is a real problem. Steemians who feel that they aren't producing quality posts succumb to plagiarizing, in the hopes that they'll be seen and earn Steem. As a recent victim of plagiarism,(yesterday, as a matter of fact!) I can attest that its a violation that needs to be thwarted.

Enter #Ulog

By assuring Steemians worldwide, that THEY are the experts in their own lives, and THEY have the ability to write about their daily activities in a genuine manner, they're given the tools to determine their own success on Steemit.

Is it just a magical tag that makes instant celebrities? Of course not. Steemians still need to take pride in their work, write with passion, and draw us into their world. They still need to stand out amongst the group, and interest us with their stories. The point is - they have a better chance at that now. By choosing to be a #ulogger, they've joined a group of like-minded individuals that is supportive, generous, and active - with Sir Terry leading the way.
