Magandang buhay!
So Monday dashed in quietly (figuratively and literally), especially since no one was around, except Yongi and me. The husband and the boys left yesterday afternoon for the trading center, and they won't be back until tonight, so we own the lil place, lol!
And just when we thought it's gonna be all dry this month, the rain visited for a little while early in the day. Thanks to it, it's not as cold as the previous mornings, so yay! Nevertheless, I'm kinda under the weather, hence we will be staying home. I initially planned to take the 50-minute drive to the clinic for a wee check-up (my joints are killing me, plus sore throat, pain around the eyes, headache, and coughing — that feeling when you have a fever), but I thought a real lazy day is needed. So yeah, my lil boy and I will have that today, lol!
Except that I was really hoping to do some online shopping and check out some presents. We usually give red pockets, so the recipients (mostly godchildren, niblings, and a few favorite people) will buy what they truly want or need, but I thought we would do it a little differently this time. Still, it's always a challenge for me to find gifts for others. Anyway, it's probably too early to be thinking about that hehe!
Meanwhile, my niece is better and was out of the hospital the other day. She's in school today. My Tito was sent to the city for further checking. Initial findings say he has some problems with his prostate. He looked so gaunt already, like he had aged too quickly. Not likely of him who is usually prim, proper, and lively. But we are hoping and praying his condition isn't serious.
Speaking of, my sister beeped me a little while ago, saying Dad was at their clinic for an ultrasound. Thankfully, everything is clear. He might have exhausted himself again doing things on his own, especially when he gets bored (unlike me, he is not an indoor person). It's just that it can be terribly worrying when our old folks are not in the best of health. My old man is turning 73, and one of our prayers is that he will stay healthy and able for many more years.🙏
