I received a huge influx of followers over the last few weeks as I blasted past the 500 follower mark a few days ago. For that I am grateful and I thank you all for following along. I pray that I can keep up the momentum with my writing to make it worth while as I value your time and willingness to read my work. I'm getting a lot of questions from new followers, so I am moved to provide this update to help people catch up to what I am doing here.
Over the last three months I've written the equivalent to three books. My first book 'Graduating Life with Honours' was written about 3-4 years ago and I shared it here on Steemit in October and November. I put the blog posts together into a single post so that it is easy to find.
You can read my book here for free!
My second book is called 'Soapbox in the Forest' and covers a lot of the work we did to live off grid and become completely independent while living off the land. Although not in book format, I put together a post that organizes the posts that I've written over the last few months into a format that should help people on their own journey towards living on the land and being off the grid. Some of the posts have videos and there are lots of pictures to see as well.
You can read this book here and again, it is free!
My third book is called 'UNGRIP' and covers a lot of the technical aspects of our relationship with the state and the steps I've taken to end that relationship. As I've stated before, this work is ongoing and I still have many posts yet to write in order to finish this work, but it does sort the posts I've written so far in a way to help people work through the complexities of this process.
You can read this book here and it is free as well!
I would also recommend that people watch my film UNGRIP as it is a good introduction into my work and this blog. It is about 90 minutes long and will cover the basics. It was made by my dear friend Ben Stewart, the creator behind Esoteric Agenda and Kymatica, all three films can be seen on Youtube or gaia.com
My activities on Steemit
A few weeks after I start on steemit (October 6, 2017), I was invited to be a member of the Stewards of Gondor. The group was started by when he delegated over 350,000 steem to a group of people to support the development of Steemit by paying it forward and helping others get started. With
's delegation, I decided to start my own group by sharing my steem to people new to steemit. I started the 'Stewards of Terra Mater' with the intent to help new users get some traffic to their blog and delegating my steem to them so that they can build their accounts and reputation within the community.
Debate Forum
For those who are not members of the Stewards of Terra Mater or Stewards of Gondor, I started up a weekly debate forum where I pose a question each Sunday and the proceeds from the post goes to the winner of the debate. I also encourage Stewards of Gondor to upvote the post AND the posts that the participants write in order to help the individuals build their accounts and engage on steemit in a meaningful way. I know many friendships have been formed as a result of the debate and it is helping people network and express themselves in a safe and meaningful way.
My advise for new users
If you are struggling getting noticed, please note that I don't have time to get out there and read lots of posts. Many Stewards of Gondor are curators and that is what they spend the majority of their time doing. So if you want to get involved, visit 's blog as there are weekly posts that outline who the Stewards of Gondor are. Visit their blogs, engage and communicate with them. No begging or asking for support. That does not fly. Write meaningful posts, engage, comment, interact and get to know one another.
As for me, I am an author, so if you want my attention, then engage in my posts. Share, comment and work hard to be vulnerable, honest and engaging. People who work through the Debate Forum really do get noticed and I have a tendency to pick the next Steward of Terra Mater from those who engage deeply with me and express an interest in living off grid and protecting Mother Earth as a steward.
For those who are established on Steemit and following me
I am grateful and I thank you for your interest in my work. I pray that I can maintain the momentum so that I respect your time as it is the most precious gift one can give another. I value the fact that you are here reading my blog. I will do what I can to share our life, views, beliefs and passions. May Creator bless you with peace, freedom, prosperity, joy and love.
My wife is now on steemit as well
I cannot cover all aspects of our life style as I am doing this work with my partner in life . She started blogging a few weeks ago and will cover areas of health, food, homeopathy and her own take on our journey. Please feel free to check out her work if you want to hear the other side of the story! :)
