Is it just me, or are you amazed every time something like this happens? A company makes a very big, very public mistake. The CEO of said company issues a half thought out "apology", which reads more like an excuse. A couple days later, after a huge public backlash, the CEO revises his apology to sound more like, well, an APOLOGY!
United Airlines just went through such a progression.
I'm sure by now you have seen the police dragging a screaming passenger from his seat, and then his limp body complete with a bleeding lip down the isle of the airplane. All because he refused to give up his seat, so United could fly their own employees on the plane.
The CEO issued a truly regretful apology, saying "I apologize for having to re-accommodate these customers."
Seriously? You regret having to "RE-ACCOMODATE these customers"? You don't regret using uniformed officers to assault and drag a customer off your plane?
Get real, Mr. CEO.
In light of the unfortunate event at United Airlines, many memes have surfaced on the internet... being shared all over social media. And I for one, love it! The United Airlines memes are hilarious! Take for example, this funny T-shirt for sale on Amazon. HILARIOUS!
