Yesterday we released baby turles into the ocean. It was really fun for the kids, and a great learning experience.
The turtle sanctuary is located in Bonfil. They find the turtle nests along the shore and relocate the babies to their safe space on the beach. Once the turtles hatch, they are brought to the water's edge and released under supervision.
This prevents predators from grabbing them, or people from stepping on them, and allows them to enter the water safely.
