But I can't help but want to tell her story, as where she rests, we do not know, so she is still considered missing. But in September of 2004 the court of appeals issued a new trial saying that the judge was wrong in overturning the original jury verdict. The day after Doris's disappearance April 24th, 1996 there was a scheduled court hearing regarding the divorce. He claims he never saw Doris the day she disappeared, but authorities disagreed and they arrested Jay in May 2001 in his Indiana home.
