“The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word 'crisis.' One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger--but recognize the opportunity.”
― John F. Kennedy
Recently, Jason King’s philanthropic project Unsung.org’s “Hacker House” was robbed in broad daylight. Whoever the thief (or thieves) was, he/she probably didn’t know who they robbed. It isn’t just those who live in the house, but includes all the homeless people that would have been fed by the efforts of Unsung.org during the time they don’t have the equipment or resources they need to be the fully-functioning altruistic powerhouse they have been. Let’s fix this.
To show support and for the continued success of Unsung.org, I’m asking anyone who can help to donate to the project and help them get back on their feet. A little help from a lot of people/sources can add up, so even the smallest bit counts.
For good measure, I will match up to $1,000 in donations made. If total donations from any number of sources reaches $1,000, I will match this and bump the total up to $2,000. What’s more, if we can get this post enough upvotes that it makes $1,000, I will match that as well. To be clear, all money raised by any and all upvoting will go to Unsung, and if this reaches $1,000 I will donate another $1,000 in solidarity of the support shown by the upvotes. Even if we don’t get to $1,000 (by actual donations or by upvoting), all the proceeds from this steemit post will goto Unsung. I urge you to ask other people to give; and also ask them to upvote this post, as again all proceeds will go to Unsung.
We can all help them continue to help the homeless.
