I have used this sketch many times in the years since my son , Caleb, created it. Once I was looking for some art to show that we can do anything if we believe in ourselves and try.
I don’t know if I found this in his work or if he gave it to me, but I first used it as the cover for a pdf I wrote for people trying to pass the CFP Exam. I used to teach a class in this subject and later wrote this short book.
Since then, I have used this sketch on countless posts and comments over the years when I am giving advice about health and weight loss. I have it filed in a folder with other “hopeful” pieces of art and this is always the one I use first.
Today, I tried to reach Caleb and realized I still had access to him on fb. I sent a message and went to church. I spent the entire time praying for God to help my son to keep fighting. PTSD is an awful cross to bear and I only know it is easier to fight it when you are mad and not scared.
When I got home from church and checked fb, I found that Caleb had blocked me there. This lets me know he is still fighting and by that method, God answered my prayers.
I’m posting this to the #untalented tag by even though I feel like my son has endless talent. Caleb gets many autovotes on steemit and they do not come if he does not post, so I am stepping in at this time.
