Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th but was replaced by former President Diosdado Macapagal and was held on June 12. At Kawit, Cavite first wave the Philippine flag. The government is concerned about and emphasizes the celebration of Independence Day on June 12th. The celebrations are held simultaneously not only in Kawit and Luneta but also in various areas of the Philippines attended by key government leaders and foreign officials.
But, should we have to celebrate freedom? Do we really have the freedom? What is the meaning of freedom? Is it true that Filipinos have been free since 1898 or 1946? Is it true that Filipinos truly live in their own grasp, diligence and persistence with no help from another country?
Bullshit! A lot of craps! Tell it to the marines! Go to hell! Such are the ones we hear from foreigners who cry out in the face of the truth that we say the Philippines is truly free and every Filipino can be proud of us living our own efforts and independently. Perhaps we should be confident that the Philippines is not yet free. We still rely on other countries. Maybe it's bad. We are still relying on the alms of powerful nations so we can not rise to our own attitudes. For us a child who is pouring out a lot of money so that it only slips everything because it is expected that there will be a blessing of grace. Gising mga Pinoy!
