Update:
Two weeks away from filming and I will be in New York for 5 of those days (seeing plays and having an artist vacation with my love!) Thank goodness for online abilities and communications in 2018 so Barbara-Anne business will carry on.
I think that one of my strengths as a producer is delegation and assembling a solid team. Everyone on board is very independent, organized and professional. Even though we are all busy working on multiple projects I trust that the work is getting done and that everyone is communicating.
There are also things that I really didn't understand before that I am learning about and am grateful to have a team I trust to make sure it all happens. There are so many positions and people on set that make a movie happen and lots of people have teams they like to work with so I am meeting a lot of new exciting people I know will become future collaborators.
One person who has assembled a team of PROS for free is my bad ass Director of Photography Nina...
Artist Feature: Nina (DP)
I spoke a bit about Nina in my pervious updates but I need to BRAG about her. Her work is incredible and she is soooo knowledgable in her field and creative as hell. I feel like I hit the jack pot with her. She is young and hungry and having her on board is a game changer. She is also very confident and bold which I LOVE as qualities of the women I work with. I am not intimidated by strong personalities or opinions and while Nina is blunt and direct I know she is truly asking for what she needs. As a producer I want to be able to give her what she wants to feel that she's achieving her best work.
Stay tuned for more friends...less than 2 weeks away!!! ahhhh!!!
