Sowerby Art Deco Uranium Glass Tray – Butterfly & Floral Pattern 2552/2553
A genuine Sowerby Art Deco pressed glass tray, dating to the 1930s and featuring the beautiful raised butterfly and floral relief design, commonly referenced as pattern 2552/2553.
Made from pale green uranium glass, the tray glows a bright vivid green under UV light, while appearing a soft green tone in natural daylight. The crisp moulded detail and geometric shaping are classic Art Deco design, typical of Sowerby’s decorative glass production during this period.
Originally produced as part of a dressing table or vanity set, this piece also works perfectly as a decorative display tray or collectible uranium glass example.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks observed. There are some tiny manufacturing marks and minor inclusions typical of pressed glass from the era.
