Everyone in society is a conformist. Even those who try to be non-conformists end up conforming to the accepted behaviours and social norms of whatever non-conformist group they belong to. Goths are a classic example. They preach about individuality, but they all express their “individuality” in exactly the same way. They all wear black. If a goth bleached their clothes white and then tie died them, that would not be acceptable to the other goths. There are many other examples. This is a good thing for people like us. Once you know the behaviours, customs, gestures, and cultural norms of a group they are easy to spot. There are tribes, even in our modern societies. They are there, and they always have been. Keep your eyes open and you will soon find them.
