Hi there. Welcome to Steemit. I'm new myself but hopes this helps you.
On the bottom of the screen, when you are composing your post, you'll see a picture icon ( it's the second one in from the right). If you click on that, it should take you to your online photos. Just click in the picture you want and it should automatically upload.
